Good things happen to those who blog

I received an e-mail yesterday from The Tuttle Agency, regarding the post I wrote about their "so bad they're enjoyable" TV commercials from yesteryear:

"Hi:

We just came across your blog about our commercials, and we are thrilled that you enjoyed them. If you ever want to come in and meet us, you're more then welcome. If you haven't figured it out, everyone in the commercial works here...Including the 'creepy old woman,' although her acting career has oddly enough taken off, and she was just in a Sony commercial. Of course, if you even need help looking for a job, let us know. Anyway, thanks again for the blog. A new commercial is in the works!!!"

E-mails like this really make the whole blogging gig worthwhile. I mean, here I am, some completely random individual making fun of Tuttle's commercials (God bless 'em for having a terrific sense of humor about themselves), and months later they end up finding the post and are super-appreciative of being mentioned. I may even have to follow up on their offer to meet them; I bet they'd be fun to knock a few beers back with, plus the girl from the commercial was pretty cute.

Maybe this is a sign of some kind, and some of my other post topics will contact me as well.
